Got this from
menikoff -- I'll steal her explanation. "a fic by any other name...
Gacked from lizbetann who gacked from bktheirregular, Pick five, or ten, or more, of your fic titles. List them in your journal and explain how you came up with each one. Post this promptly as well, so that the meme spreads."
Haven't committed fic in ages; everytime the impulse hits I look at the pile on my desk and the impulse goes away again. *sniff* A bunch of Sharpe plotbunnies are being sorely neglected by yours truly. *sniff* Once upon a time, I ficced. And was lousy at titles.
Chaos and Harmony (BTVS) I thought Harmony had potential to be more than just a "Mean Girl" a couple of seasons before Mutant Enemy got 'round to it. Totally Jossed, of course.
The Long Forever Night (FK/Philip Marlowe) Raymond Chandler's Philip Marlowe narrates a *Forever Knight* story; I have been told I really caught the hardboiled atmosphere.
Untouched Heart (Alias Smith and Jones) Sometimes a pun's just there. The OFC protagonist was surnamed Hart (which happens to be a great-great grandmother's maiden name, which amused me tremendously since the story's set in the Old West; the character bears absolutely no other resemblance to said ancestress. Nor is she a Mary Sue. Dammit). Meant to be a one-off, but fifteen or sixteen stories later, the characters finally resolved their issues. Sort of.
Break-In At Tiffany's (Highlander/Alias Smith and Jones) Amanda. Diamonds. It was just . . . there.
Michael's Most Challenging Mission (La Femme Nikita> Four and a quarter seasons, and the guy cracked a smile, what, twice? It's his kid's elementary school bake sale, which if you remember how the series ends, is not beyond the bounds of credibility. The guy's sexy as hell, but he NEEDS to be mocked.
