Dental work finally done -- Wednesday I came home with my lovely new crown. Hurrah!

Thursday the crown fell out. Because it was placed over a broken tooth, he wanted to glue it temporarily so he could check on the tooth in a few months.

If this was gonna be such a big deal, why didn't we just go with a post and implant in the first place? *sigh*

Friday morning the tooth was glued back in. I think he didn't do the permanent cement because he knows once this is all over I'm switching dentists.

The final episode of Friends was a black hole. One of our friends came over to play Playstation with M. We had no intention of watching Friends. The next thing we knew, we'd watched Friends. And when they said "Ten Years of Friends" -- uh huh. It felt as though we'd been sitting there for ten years, watching that episode of Friends.

I'm torn, though -- Drea De Matteo is playing Joey's cousin in his spinoff. This means I may actually have to watch it once or twice. Alas, poor Adrianna.

So, this is a permanent crown that he glued in temporarily? Check on it in a few months and then what, make it permanent? I didn't think they did that. Stupid dentist.

I ended up watching the last hour of Friends, even though I never really followed the series in the first place, at least not regularly. I hate Ross. I really really hate Ross.

It was okay, I guess, and had some funny moments, mainly with the babies, but only in the hospital.

It was the Friends Black Hole, I tell you. The only one of them I really like is Phoebe.

My dentist is an idiot. I should have walked before I started the procedure. As soon as this is finalized, I am definitely going elsewhere. On the plus side, he's allowed me to pay over time, and I do mean over a loooooong period of time.

But yeah, the few minutes I saw of the last ep were very very bad. And boring.

Isn't she fab? She is totally my trashy Jersey girl role model.

The anonymous friend we saw it with (he doesn't want to admit he watched it) is a professional comedy writer, so that helped. And we threw rolled up socks at the screen, a trick I learned from menikoff. But maaaaaan, why did I do that to myself? I think any one of the three of us would have switched the tv off, but somehow it became a group trainwreck.

Thanks. This is par for the dental course. I have perfect teeth until I broke one last year and since I haven't got dental insurance (not part of the grad school package) it has been much longer and angstier than it needed to be. Soon I will be free!
