Jun. 7th, 2003 03:11 pmFeeling a bit blue -- extended rain, M. taking more weekend shifts (handy as the money is), working at home is really cool in a lot of ways but I start feeling isolated. Time to email my study buddy and to call some friends to say I've now *officially* returned to the land of the post-wedding post-semester living.
Musing about my latest fannish obsession -- anytime I get interested in something, I find myself weighing the pros and cons of even trying to get involved. Signed up on some lists (web only, since I feel guilty about barely skimming half the lists I'm on), and of course the most interesting one is very slow (I think they've all moved over here to LJ, but I feel awkward about just imposing myself on a near stranger's journal). It's not like I have any time for it, and this is the first time I've felt strongly enough about something in a long while to even think about pursuing it. Or possibly even committing fanfic. And none of these people know me, so there's that whole building credibility thing all over again. Unsure whether to pursue -- maybe by the time I get through my next project, I'll be all possessed by working on the diss again, which is the wiser move. But oh is it fun having plotbunnies dancing in my head once again.
Whatever. Anyway, first Liberty game of the summer last Sunday and I never posted about it. I did miss them. And am oddly pleased that the Washington Mystics have players named Aiysha Smith *and* Asjha Jones.
