Sep. 12th, 2003 05:10 pmContinuing with chirpy-happy-chelseagirl mode: One of my students has the best clothes. Last time she showed up in a vintage 70s minidress, boots and false eyelashes. Today she had vintage-style rhinestone eyeglass frames and a sort of odd collar-and-sleeves sweater thing. It's so much fun seeing what she'll wear next.
I contrast this to Fordham where I rarely saw anyone out of sweats, usually emblazoned with their university's name. I swear they were labelling themselves in case they were mislaid or something.
We're going to the Jersey shore tomorrow a.m. M. is working one of those 10am until death shifts. If he gets out at (or before) closing time, we'll crash and go mid-morning. If they have him stay to close, he'll stop at Limerick's for a bit after and then come home, roust me out of bed, and we'll get one of those "oh my god is it really that time in the a.m.?" early trains so he can nap on the beach . . . Oh the suspense of not knowing. Oh the good fortune that our hosts are a) extremely good natured people and b) not far from the train stop!
