I'm baaaack . . .
Oct. 3rd, 2004 03:00 pm. . . so, anybody miss me? Thanks for all the wonderful messages when I posted about M.'s job, btw; I had every intention of writing back but then the next wave hit and I was underwater again, so to speak. Looking forward to catching up with people.
So, school's good, M.'s job is great (I finally got to eat at the restaurant Friday night and it was wonderful -- will be recruiting expeditions to head out there again soon!), and other than that . . . well, I didn't really have time to think or breathe until Friday when it was finally all over, and since then I've been doing the collapsed in a heap thing.
Finally auditioned for that choir; he wants to give me a try for a month and see if my voice blends. My last choir director wasn't really a vocal coach and since my training is fairly minimal, I'm sure I have all kinds of bad habits. So we'll see; if it does work it'll be a real challenge, which is what I think I need.
Next scary thing: I have to write my "job letter" and check out the MLA joblist to see where I'm applying. Good thing M. got settled before my process got started; that way we only have one crazy jobseeker at a time. I actually feel pretty relaxed because I have heard time and time again that people don't usually get things their first year on the market so I'm not going to take it too personally.
Wow; LJ's changed its format again since I last posted.
