. . . well, the first half of it, anyway.

Katrina was actually COMPETENT at magic and she and Ichabod and Abbie were working together well and kicking ass. This is everything I wanted when they brought her back from Purgatory.

And then.

Yeah. They're clearly going to go there. She's going to go evil, and I find that turn of events incredibly predictable and tedious; if they were going there, they should have gone there a long time ago. I just hope that she has a struggle with it, and maybe sacrifices herself nobly, Darth Vader-style, in the end. Because they've written the character into such a corner and done so badly by her that I don't see much else to hope for, in her regard.

Now *Irving* working with Henry, that's interesting. Not unexpected, but interesting.

I dunno. Maybe they could just give Tom Mison and Nicole Beharrie a talk show or something, so they can keep being adorable together, and this show can stop disappointing me.

Interesting that you mention Vader, as that was all I could "hear" when Kent went all embrace your anger...come to the dark side...

I Was almost waiting to have him say something about her parentage as the memories were all about her mother and none about her father.

I think there is potential for Irving and Henry plot twists. If Katrina was right that Irving has somehow had his soul restored, then has he turned, is he double agent-ing...? If he really has turned, what does that say about Katrina's skills? And then there's Henry himself, given his choice to kill Moloch and essentially free himself, is he now chaotic evil or chaotic neutral? And where has the horseman got himself off to?

What's disappointing me is the turn toward 'demon of the week', which I think you wrote about a few weeks back? Or at least I read something somewhere that criticized this choice on the part of the writers/producers/Fox. Early X-Files and Buffy managed to balance the overarching seasonal bad guy/show mythology with evil of the week pretty well - this crew isn't doing quite as well with it I don't think. It feels like later season X Files where it's kind of "we didn't expect this to last this long so we have no idea where to take the larger arc...".

I hope they can pull it together. Failing that, as long as they include karaoke on the talk show, I'm in.
