At parents'. To me, this is what Christmas looks like -- snow on lawns, houses still with wreaths up.

Seem to be having all the periods I missed in September, October, November, December all rolled into one. I suppose it's good this is happening when I'm off from work anyway.

Visiting parents sometimes make your body feel younger, perhaps?

My body has been up and down like yours, as you mentioned in a previous post (to which I'd meant to respond). For a while, the bleeding was extremely light, then it became heavy and now it seems to be light again, but it goes on for a solid week or more. I don't understand.

And I know I wished you a happy birthday on FB, but happy belated birthday here now that you're upstate.

I hadn't had any at all since August -- since I went off the Pill last spring, I've been on and off, with longer and longer times between. A very light one a month ago and now Niagara. (Perhaps my body senses the proximity to the Falls? ;-) )

Thanks! Birthday dinner with parents and friends tonight. The season is still on!

YAY for surroundings with snow.

BOO for hormonal turmoil. (And YAY for this while not working).

Love your icon!

And welcome to FB. I don't like it as much as here, but it does have the advantage of having nearly everyone I know on it.

Of course, a lot of times that's why I post things here. Because I don't necessarily want co-workers and people I went to high school with to know *everything*. ;-)

Oh, ugh, how awful. I had a postsurgery extra period and it sucked!

I've been super-lucky with never having major problems in that department, but I guess my body is trying to send me out with a bang. ;-) I brought some supplies but not enough, so I found myself at CVS at 7am the first morning after I arrived mumbling to a very nice cashier about how I am 53 years old and still this is happening.

My very dear but sheltered father actually said to me, "shouldn't a woman your age be done with all that now?" Thanks, daddy.

Oh God, parents. I don't even know. Mine are really changing and it's scary.

Don't know if you do the Facebook thing, but if you do and you add people other than family or close friends (people use it differently, and I get that) please let me know!

And hang in there! :-)

Is there a lot of snow up there? There's none here.

There's enough to cover the lawns and fields and make things look Christmassy. Chrissy and I drove down as far as Ellicottville on smaller roads yesterday because I wanted to see snow covered fields and woods. (Plus it gave us a chance to catch up one-on-one.) It was lovely. It's going to rain today, though, and I'm afraid it'll turn back to brown lawns before I leave (v. early on Monday).

Apparently that 7 feet they got in November melted away in less than a week because the temperature went up so much right after . . . It was good, though, because people from all over called my parents to make sure they were okay, including a cousin in Montana who died a week or two later, so they'd had a great last chat with him . . .

Ellicottville is pretty. I keep meaning to go over there to take pictures, and then not making it until I'm passing through and don't have time to stop.

I didn't realize that the storm snow disappeared so fast....

We've already chatted elsewhere re: Your Unfortunate Surprise (stress!!), so I'll only comment a) on the super fabulous photo of everyone you posted on Facebook last night - I LOVE IT and b) that we got our own dumping of snow yesterday for which I should be excited, but not so much. :( (I had to make a Laundromat run and thought I could make it back before the snow hit, but, alas, the minute I started the washing machine, it started to snow. An hour and a half later, the roads were awful. Ridiculously long ride back to my place, 10 minutes away...

It's been warm and raining since the middle of the night, but everything still white; ice, I'm sure.

Hope the trip back was uneventful and you got to see more snowy fields. (Can you see wind turbines along the train route? Breathtaking...)
