Luke Cage season 2
Jun. 27th, 2018 12:18 pmThere is a very smart, thorough entry in selenak's journal which says everything I would say, only much better and more insightfully. As I read it before I was entirely done, I thought I would not agree with everything, as one generally doesn't. But I did.
Short version: Luke, feel the power of the Dark Side.
Slightly longer version: If the show had been titled Mariah Stokes, it would have been a more accurate description of what's inside the tin. And Alfre Woodward knocked it out of the park. It was an excellent crime drama. But Luke Cage often felt secondary to his own story.

(Also, I love Luke, but...Claire needed to leave him. Of course what she REALLY needed to do then is join with Colleen and Misty.)

Date: 2018-06-28 12:47 am (UTC)We finally finished season 1, and I haven't watched season 2 yet because I am under the impression I need to watch The Defenders first.
My favorite part of Luke Cage season 1 is Mariah; I adore her kissing Shades in the last few minutes of the finale, and that little grin he gives her. Wow.
I've got to post my review of season 1. Soooooooo good.
