I want to write about Deadwood, and I will, after I watch it again. Right now, I'm out of steam, just trying to keep up with my Summer I class (which is over by the end of the month, thankfully), and limping through my SSR Confidential story, since Endgame really threw me for an Agent Carter loop. And trying to get back into my current writing project, just feeling lost with that, too.

Marty falls asleep so early that we've been watching Captain Marvel in increments. I am still waiting for the big "what Goose can do" reveal. I have been avoiding making Flerken jokes for two months now. AVOIDING MAKING FLERKEN JOKES. FOR TWO MONTHS. We have five cats. (M does animal rescue; no cats come home anymore, because they have enough connections with rescue groups, but there was a time. . . . )

I can't emphasize this enough: we have five cats and I have been sitting on Flerken jokes for two months. Just imagine how difficult that's been.

Isn't the cover amazing? One of the nice things about working with a small publisher is I had a lot of input, but I wasn't like an indie, out there on my own. Livia did a fantastic job -- I didn't like a few images she sent me, so I dug up some that I did as references, and then she found that one and it is literally the perfect embodiment of my character.

And a gorgeous dress.

My friend Gill came up with the tagline. Mine was wordier. She's on staff from now on. ;-)

Thanks -- Squarespace. One of the writers on my tutoring staff suggested them, and although there's been a learning curve, I've mostly been able to make it do what I wanted it to do!
