So real names and all: my friend/fellow writing group member Finola Austin has been doing an Instagram live festival to promote the paperback release of her novel Bronte's Mistress. (Which is fabulous and you should definitely read it.) She's been having half-hour dialogues with lots of other historical fiction writers, many of them FAR BETTER KNOWN than me! It was great to be able to babble about my writing and my characters for that long! Usually in writers' group, we're just focusing on the moment, and you don't really WANT to provide too much background, because they need to comment on what's on the page.
