my The Expanse rewatch

Hi! A couple of you mentioned there's a comm watching/rewatching The Expanse right now? Could anyone direct me there?

Don't know if I'll be able to keep up, but I'm just finishing rewatching season 1. My plan is to rewatch s. 1-3, and then continue with 4-6, which I never caught up with when it jumped to Prime.

Wow, there is a lot I just didn't remember. Also this is SUCH A GOOD SHOW and really needs to be watched carefully. Like if I find myself getting distracted, I will turn it off mid-episode to pick up later or the next day when I can focus better.

AND IT IS SUCH A GOOD SHOW! Really some of the best science fiction out there. I have not read the books and looking at my terrifyingly large TBR piles, I'm not sure when I could even get to them, but the world building, the future plausibility (keeping in mind I am currently on 1.10) is so good, and I love that we're just dropped in and have to figure a lot of it out for ourselves.

Also, Avaserala is such a fashion icon.

Minim is hosting it! I think right now there's limited posting privileges, but unlimited comments, and the discussion's a little slow right now but frankly that's fine by me. We BURNED through it and are on season 3 already, lol. I haven't read the books either, but the show is just fucking amazing.

I don't even like clothes a whole lot and I just drool whenever Chrisjen shows up in one of her fabulous outfits and schools people in her honey-whiskey voice. That show had a LOT of great roles for women, including older women! And PoC actors too. I absolutely loved the worldbuilding (I know there's an exchange it could be nominated in, but I always feel intimidated by worldbuilding fans, lol).

Four was my absolute least fave season, but six was okay and five recovered pretty well, I thought. But 2 and 3 are my favourites. 2 in particular has that stunning finale.

Ah, I've already been racing through it -- just finished 2.1. Well, it hasn't felt like a race as it's been several weeks. But way more than one a week. Although I have a lot to do this summer, maybe holding back wouldn't be a bad idea.

We're on the finale of season three which is BANGING in spite of the Ring nonsense which usually gives me the pip. And a character I LOATHED (Ashford) grew on us some! Every rewatch of this show is rewarding.

Josh is rereading all the books right now. He's so happy because there's a bunch of short stories and novellas he hadn't read but they've finally been collected into a single volume or maybe two.

I haven't read the books; taking on another series of 9 big books right now is intimdating -- but you never know.

Me either. I haven't seen any of the show either. It sounds so good from what you and others post about it.

Marty and I watched the first three seasons, when it was on SyFy. It's one where you really need to concentrate because they throw you right into a complex situation. So worth it!

Also, attractive men, strong women, and Shohreh Aghdashloo is phenomenal.
