Jul. 18th, 2013 06:19 amApartment coming together -- although, mostly what we need to complete the settle-in is to buy some things, and that will happen slowly as my income slows down in the summer. However, got a freelance check yesterday and will now send the rug out to be cleaned, so yay.
They're predicting it will break 100 today; I'm worried about M who's been coming home from his *outdoor job* on the verge of heatstroke every day.
Free Showtime for three months as part of the move. Why are their shows so much better than broadcast, dammit? I have been catching up on Dexter, and sampling The Borgias and Nurse Jackie and Homeland (the first season is now up) and that show with the British screenwriters and Matt LeBlanc. I guess they all come out on Netflix sooner or later -- now that we no longer live in the same neighborhood as my favorite video rental place, I think we'll sign up, but I want a plan where we can get more than one DVD at a time since M and I have very different tastes. Does anyone share their queue with a partner who doesn't want to watch all the same things, and how does that work out?
Lots of writing to do this weekend, for an article deadline that's already been extended. Eventually I'll get to enjoy my summer. For a few weeks. Although I enjoy the writing part, too.
