Jun. 11th, 2003 11:33 amTurning into a regular boring married person -- though the fact that I put in nearly 60 hours on a freelance project over the course of 7 days last week has something to do with the lack of excitement in my life at present. (Okay, there was a little bit of suspense involved.) Discovered that the margaritas are scary-strong at Mary Ann's; one should *not* have had the effect that it did.
Rereading *The Silmarillion* for the first time in years; simultaneously reading A.N. Wilson's *The Victorians*; reading about the Romantic medievalism of the 19th century and reading one of the best manifestations of same in the 20th feels very in synch.
Watched a bunch of first season 24 episodes (only loaned to me last summer *blush*) -- enjoyed season 2, but this *is* night and day better.
Extremely pleased, when at the post office to send some packages to the UK, to buy some Thurgood Marshall commemorative stamps. Oh for the Supreme Court of yore. (How's that for Romantic nostalgia for the Warren court?)
