Aug. 12th, 2003 10:33 amHaving heard people use root canal as a comparative figure of speech for years, I thought it was going to be really painful. It's just lengthy and unpleasant, which considering everything, isn't such a bad trade. M. took more novocaine for his filling than I did for my r.c. (his appointment was an hour after mine and we were in rooms side-by-side during the latter half of my process). Still think he's a dental wimp, though.
I haven't commented here, only in

silme's comments, about Bishop Robinson. I'm very proud of the Episcopal Church for electing an openly gay bishop. Unfortuntely this is a time my own congregation is going through some strange and painful stuff which is preoccupying those circuits of my brain.

Too bad the C of E backed down on the same issue. I so fancied Rowan Williams (the Archbishop of Canterbury), with his liberal ideas. He's also a Guardian reader;)
