I haven't been on LJ for nearly a week, due to a combination of circumstances: the blackout (Chelsea, along with the Lower East Side, were the last neighborhoods in NYC, which was the last place in the country, to get power back), Columbia's server not letting me in over the weekend, and a rush deadline made worse by the days of work I lost to the blackout.

Just in case anyone was wondering. Will start to catch up soon, after the deadline. My blackout stories are good -- though not dissimilar to anyone else's, I imagine.

Welcome back! I heard on the news that Chelsea was one of the last neighborhoods to get their power back. Once again, it was an "I know someone who lives there" moment and I eagerly scanned the crowds in case I saw you on the news. Yeah, like you're the only one in Chelsea, right? Come on, you should know me well enough by now to know that I'm a bit "out there."
