I looked at M. the other night and said, "I feel like a grownup living in this apartment." Which is funny for someone mumblety years old to say, but after being crowded into the studio with him for so long, with every piece of furniture fitted in there like a puzzle piece, and so many books and clothes and so much *stuff* everywhere that it was like living in a walk-in closet/library . . . I'm not getting over the delight anytime soon. We drank port on the terrace after dinner on Sunday and it was lovely.

I've been doing some clothes shopping lately, which I ought not to be, but working the *cough* four jobs I feel like I deserve some reward. I've become a fan of both Jill Anderson http://jillanderson.com/blog/ and Meg http://www.megshops.com/ , two local designers with very-reasonable-for-the-quality prices and small scale, North American based production (my Meg dress is made in Canada, and Jill Anderson is sewn right in the neighborhood, just like my sorely missed D.L. Cerney).

Missed having a new Sleepy Hollow last night; but I've DVR'ed the rerun, so now I've got them all (assuming M doesn't go on a DVR-cleaning binge, but that's usually me). I'm awaiting my assignment for the Sleepy Hollow holiday exchange because I'm not taking on enough with Yuletide or anything. ;-)

Oh, I'm so happy you're still blissed out about the apartment. I hope by now M. has adjusted, as well. (At least, port on the terrace sounds encouraging.) :)

Was hugely bummed at no new Sleepy Hollow last night - I had timed dinner to watch in front of it. :( Looking forward to whatever you ultimately write for the holiday exchange. :)

I think the show is entering a more serious phase of fangirling for me - I did that whole "________ is in my home, what will I cook for him?" thing I always find myself doing when I'm starting to get obsessed, particularly when the character is from a different era or place. (I imagined making Hannibal Heyes an egg, bacon, cheese sandwich on toast; Max Evans from Roswell got mac and cheese...) I don't remember what I was thinking I'd make for Ichibod, but judging from my past history, I'm sure it would involve cheese...

Goodness, I'm silly.

I have never thought about what to feed a character I was fannish about.

M. agreed with me about feeling grownup having Enough Space.

No, of course not. You're not silly.

Or silly in different ways.

I can totally relate to enjoying a nice apartment. It really does make a difference. (Before I scored mine I wasn't quite sure if it was worth the hassle, but I'm surprised to say, the pleasure doesn't grow old.)

Classy clothes!

The other apartment was nice, as it in was charming and Deco, but it was just NOT big enough for us. This one is more modern (1970s as opposed to 1930s) and alas, has linoleum floors, but it's big for NYC and it's really shaping up quite nicely!

Thanks. I am infatuated by both of them!

This was, of course, me.
