chelseagirlGetting more positive feedback on the teaching end, which is really re-energizing me. A good thing, too -- spent the day at the Columbia library re-reading Machiavelli and George Eliot's *Adam Bede*; need energizing. Am I showing my age if I complain about the size of the print in Penguin Classics? *shudder*
M.'s illness drags on and on . . . very frustrating, particularly for people who are him; I was all excited about him not working Friday night, but now it looks like the movies and dinner are probably not happening, except in that modified "video and take-in" format.
Eep. An old boyfriend emailed me, Mark the Modernist Furniture Dealer; his friend L., who was also a very close friend of Kim (the ex-bf who died after we broke up), is doing a reading at the Tribes Gallery -- a place where I used to go with Kim. M.'s off that night but doesn't want to go; I'm toying with the idea. Hell, maybe Eban the Painter will be there too (he was sort of an unboyfriend, which really worked for me, at the time) and I can have a complete Awkwardness Full House. Say, anybody in the NYC area free Sunday? Wanna watch me blush and stammer? I would like to see L. read; she's a good person and I probably would have tried harder to keep in touch, but our whole relationship was based around mourning Kim.
